11-11-08 : SLEAFORD CONCERT BAND BACK AT HECKINGTON SHOW FOR 2009
After their absence from The Heckington Show Firework Concert in 2008. the Sleaford Concert Band has been invited to appear in the 2009 show. Early planning hints at a bigger and better spectacular than ever before with two bands appearing on stage together. The Crawley Millennium Concert Band will team up with the Sleaford Concert Band and there should be over 70 musicians on stage. The audience can expect a musical extravaganza with the usual 'Firework Finale'. The concert will be staged on Saturday 25th July starting at 8pm.

11-11-08 : NEW UNIFORMS ON THE AGENDA TO MARK THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BAND
A new bid is being prepared to equip the musicians of the band with a new styled concert uniform. The total cost will be in the region of £15,000 and work has already begun on a bid to Awards for All. Other grants are being investigated. This is the largest project the band has ever undertaken and it is hoped that the uniforms will be ready for the end of 2009.

17-03-08 : SLEAFORD CONCERT BAND TO APPEAR AT WADDINGTON AIR SHOW
The Sleaford Concert band will be appearing at The Waddington Air Show for the fifth time in 10 years. We are particularly pleased about this booking as it gives us the opportunity to perform on the same stage as many other regionally renowned bands and in front of thousands of people. The band will be playing on Saturday 5th July during the afternoon session finishing the whole thing off at 6pm. Come along and see us there.

28-02-08 : MAYOR'S CHARITY CONCERT
Sleaford Concert Band will be staging a Concert in St Denys Church in Sleaford on Sunday 11th May 2008 in aid of The Mayor's Charity and helping to bring a week long festival of music to a close in the town. Sleaford Live is a week of music staged in various venues within the town. This year the concert will feature two bands from the twin town of Marquette Le Lille and should help fill the church for what is sure to be a most entertaining concert. The show starts at 7pm.

14-12-07 : BAND RECEIVE GRANT FROM LOCAL ROUND TABLE
The Sleaford Concert Band recently received an early Christmas present from the Sleaford Round table. The band was invited to bid for money to help refurbish their music library and a grant of £500 was made to the band. This money will help buy new shelving, new music boxes to store the music and a dehumidifier to help keep the damp off the music. All Trustees and Members of the Sleaford Concert Band thank the Sleaford Round Tablers for their kind donation.
